Real talk hours - I survived my first suicide attempt 4 years ago today

I got a lot of hate for causing a Magic pro getting fired on my account. I was getting hate here, Facebook, and Reddit. I was inundated with death threats. It got to be too much

This is the first time I've talked about this publicly. I kept it to myself when everything was going on bc I didn't want the trolls to know they hurt me and the ppl who looked up to me to think I was weak

I have learned better as I have gotten older & as my reach has grown

There is this prevailing thought that you need to have a thick skin to do what I and other ppl in media do

That's somewhat true. Not every person who calls me fat or nigger or tranny bothers me

But getting death threats? Ppl hoping you will yourself? That shouldnt be normalized
