A friend I went to LU with texted me this today.

“I feel as if there is this side that LOVES LU so much. Like it’s almost their heaven. And they idolize the people there. Personally I was never in that crowd but it always just seems like a show from the outside.”

“Sins are hidden and Instagrams are perfect. And in a way I just feel like they are trying to push leadership’s bad reputation away to keep their reputation good. To benefit themselves when they have to get jobs etc, when really it should drive them to reconciliation...”

“to love others better, and PROVE through ACTIONS in the community that they are not like leadership. I just personally don’t see the lynchburg community being loved by LU students. And I guess just a lot of the people I have met through LU, I now have to live with my guard up.”
