it’s really strange to see the wider world simultaneously discover what’s been happening out here and confirm that it sure is fucking wild. people were getting maced and shot at last week, and then there were the pipe bombs the week before that.

it was irresponsible to characterize the protesters as murderers when they set a garbage can on fire; it was *wildly* irresponsible to call for Portland to “rise up” against protesters in the wake of the Kenosha killings. (Yes, our mayor did those things).

It might turn out the killing was random and had nothing to do with the mace, the bear mace, the paintball guns, the guy holding a knife running out to try slash tires (????), the guy last week who shot a 9mm out of a car window, or the pipe bombs from the week before

But since all of the latter have happened, how about we *not* hype up vandalism as attempted murder
