Yes curate curate curate. Improved my stanning experience immensely. https://twitter.com/naija0329/status/1299746624890122240
Like I've tweeted before, I will block or mute anyone that brings fandom negativity on my feed. Even from my own fandom. If all your mutual is bringing to your timeline are fanwars, maybe they're more interested in the fighting than the artist?
And during my early days when I was getting into my fave's fandom that was something I could tolerate. But not for long really. So I block, mute, the whole shebang.
I think it also helped that I have friends in other fandoms - "enemy" ones - who are great and gracious and secure when I geek out about my faves. Or maybe they hate it but at least they do it on their group chats

I also try to look if something really is worth arguing with someone on the internet over? Most of the things some people get riled about are low engagement tweets that are obviously people thirsty for attention. Don't give them that!
I've seen people be passive-aggressive about my fave's lightstick (yep there are people like that). Engaging with that just makes it seem like that idea is valid when it's S T U P I D.
I've seen people demean something my faves do but find it suddenly acceptable when THEIR faves do it. And boy does that get me heated but I look at the engagement and it's zero. Why should I blow up that opinion?
Then there are those really fucked-up things that other fandoms have said & to my faves. BOY do I wanna fight. But I always remember that thread that said you only see the bad side of a different group because you're not "inside." So I take a deep breath and block & report.
I don't take it against their whole fandom precisely because I'm not "inside" theirs. I'm probably not seeing all the good they do or the reasonable ones in their fandom.
I dunno how to end this thread other than to say stream #BTS_Dynamite
(I dunno how to add a Spotify link so Youtube nilagay ko
)
