We are on the knife’s edge of having flat-out street battles, and the president not only hasn’t tried to cool tensions—he has people who threatened to shoot protesters speak at his convention, and his advisors go on TV and say this is what they want.

In 2016, he encouraged violence. He spoke of imprisoning his opponent. He campaigned on ordering the military to murder wives and children of terrorists. He demonized Hispanics and Muslims, and played footsie with white supremacists.

In 2017, when white supremacists marched chanting blood and soil, he said there were fine people there. He said the media are the enemy of the people. He accused the FBI, IC, and Ds of treason. He fantasized about what we did to people like the whistleblower in the old days.

He told the police to abuse people they were arresting. He ripped children from parents as a matter of policy. He wanted to gas migrants crossing the border and shoot them with live rounds. He told DHS employees to break the law and he’s pardon them.

When protests broke out over police murdering a man, he said “when the looting starts, the shooting starts.” He called these protesters terrorists, threatened to deploy the military across the nation to suppress them, and attacked them outside the WH with gas and batons.

He deployed federal officers in Portland, and arrested people with no probable cause, tossing them in unmarked fans. He blamed violence—perpetrated by right wing individuals and groups—on antifa, and threatened to designate them a terrorist group.

While right wing individuals and groups have tried to use these protests to start a race war, he’s continued condemning antifa. Reportedly, his staff cannot even refer to right wing groups around him.

During his convention, he invited a couple to speak that pointed guns at protesters, threatening them with death. His advisors openly say they benefit from unrest and violence. He’s done nothing to calm tensions, but he’s worked very hard to make things much worse.

And here we are, with violence increasing in our streets. This is what he wants. This is what he’s asked for since 2016. He’s courted and pumped up and encouraged these right wing groups every year he’s been in office, and given them license to harm fellow Americans.
