Goal setting involves the development of an action plan designed to motivate and guide a person or group toward a goal.

A coach can help you cleary define SMART goals that help you create a process to reach those goals.

As previously mentioned a good mentor can help you create a process that will give you direction.

A direction to focus your intensity and effort in order to achieve your goals.

Coaching is the intersection of training and guidance.

A good mentor can lend their experience and expertise to their client.

This borrowed experience will allow you to grow in ways previously not possible.

A good mentor will be there to hold up their clients during down times.

When motivation is lacking or skills fall short a mentor can step in and provide you with the reassurance necessary to keep you going.
