Today's #adragonaday post was always going to be kinda uninspiring, so I wanted to grab some shots that were more fun. Dragon issues organized around a monthly theme tended to have those articles set off w/ a full-page illustration serving as a frontispiece for that section. 1/3

I always liked these images because most of them felt like the work of journeyman artists—not ready for cover prime time, but certainly evocative in their own way, and often getting into the nitty-gritty of adventuring life. 2/3
