Grieved with my family, and 5 kids, for the past 24 hours over the death of Chadwick Boseman.

This morning when I decided to mention Chadwick in an email, I did it out of compassion for the 250,000+ readers of my close knit online community -not to sell books.
The 250,000+ people who subscribe to my emails are a part of an email community I starting building in 1999 as a college student. Have managed it for over 20 years.

I send them emails daily, and they mention every facet of my life, the world we live in, and my work.
I couldn't imagine sending an email this morning that didn't mention Chadwick.

The original email that was scheduled to go out, didn't mention him, actually, because it was written a few days ago.

I decided to mention him - just knowing that people were hurting.
Not being flippant, but I don't think about what Twitter might say when I write emails - or do any of the work I do in the world for that matter.

Twitter generally loathes me.
It doesn't bother me.
