las vegas is having AT LEAST one fentanyl OD a day it’s really bad in xanax and percocets so please please do not be doing these things and please tell your friends
and by OD i just want to clarify i mean people are dying from this at least once a day.. they aren’t just overdosing and walking away from it
if you’re going to quote this tweet with some dehumanizing nonsense about drug addicts, know you will get blocked and i hope you one day grow up and learn some compassion.
my sources for those who are curious: my mom is a coroner investigator so she is the one directly handling these deaths. and she is coming home everyday going “there was another one, please be safe” also my dad is a paramedic and has been doing a lot of OD calls as well
if you have lost a loved one recently and are currently grieving and need a little guidance here is a master list from the LV Trauma Intervention Program https://www.tipoflasvegas.org/grief
LV TIP is a great nonprofit org that my mom actually used to volunteer for, consider becoming a volunteer if you have the capability! volunteers are dispatched to scenes of deaths other traumatic events to comfort loved ones and offer these resources or a shoulder to cry on
SAMHSA national hotline for anybody seeking to get clean!
this link offers custom treatment options based on what insurance you have or don’t have including free treatments!! https://startyourrecovery.org/treatment/rehab-centers/nevada/las-vegas
you can purchase narcan over the counter at most pharmacies here is info on it https://www.walgreens.com/topic/pharmacy/naloxone.jsp
while narcan is great to have and could potentially save a life, you STILL NEED TO CALL 911. narcan IS NOT a substitute for emergency medical care. paramedics and doctors would tell you this themselves
recognizing an OD. if you hear that gargling sound there is a good chance that person is aspiration so you NEED to get them on their side to let vomit drain. this happened to my uncle and it caused brain death, he could’ve still been alive if somebody had known what to do.
i’m going to end this thread unless i can think of anymore resources or good info to share.. my dms are open so don’t hesitate to reach out if you need anything at all i will definitely try my best to help you in any way i can
