You COULD apologize for not giving credit to these women who, despite a lack of genuine and serious response from Abe and his government, created and are fighting for this movement by themselves

You didn’t

That says all I need to know about you and your “journalism” https://twitter.com/noahpinion/status/1299611501573976064
This also says how much you genuinely support women

You don’t

You owe the women of this movement an apology. You also owe women who live in Japan and are actively fighting against sexual harassment and sexist policies an apology, but I suppose you won’t do that either
@bopinion Are you sure this is the caliber of journalism you want to be proud of? I suggest you hire someone to write about Japan who actually knows about Japan and doesn’t credit men for women’s movements.
Women in Japan fighting for their rights do not deserve to have their hard work credited to a man who has actively hurt them at worst, turned a blind eye at best. Journalism, whether opinion or not, should accurately reflect what is genuinely happening and not be groundless
Of course, if he’s willing to actually apologize and learn to be an actual ally to women here in Japan, that would be different. But given his response thus far, I’m not going to hold my breath
also here I am calling you out with proof that you are crediting Abe. This is the very first post in that thread. YOU wrote “what *HE* achieved” and I have done the liberty of highlighting that for you
This is why I QRT’d *your response* to a thread YOU wrote about “what HE achieved” where you talked about women’s movements in Japan moving forward. His achievement? HIS???

Just because women happened to have had enough of this bullshit during his tenure doesn’t mean jack
oh look, he deleted his reply to me as if that will solve things :)

good thing for me that I screenshotted it!
He also blocked me, which definitely shows that white journalists who write about women in Asia that get called out *by women in Asia* for their gross inaccuracies are trash
