many gymnasts believe that she is a sports psychologist and is qualified to counsel them, and have an expectation that they would be protected by confidentiality

Dr. Alison Arnold has a PHD presumably in psychology but is not licensed to practice psychology in Ohio (where CGA is) or Indiana (home of @USAGym)

in fact it is against the law for Alison Arnold to call herself a psychologist in the state of Ohio

I don't know if she called herself a "sports psychologist" or just allowed athletes to believe that she was so they would then tell her things they wouldn't have if they didn't believe their meetings with her were confidential

she then turned around and handed these private fears and concerns to the athletes abuser (Mary Lee Tracy) so they could be weaponized against them in a cruel and humiliating way (much like all of MLT's coaching tactics)

she's violated countless athlete's trust and undercut their ability to trust actual qualified counselors that many of them genuinely need the help of when they finally start to deal with the years of trauma they have experienced
