purchasing spiritual/esoteric services. a thread.
hi, so tarot and astrology is clearly growing quite rapidly and more people are getting into it which is great! Both are amazing tools that can offer guidance, explanations and a source of divine knowledge and wisdom. I seriously encourage everyone to get a reading at least once.
but unfortunately some of y’all need some training on how to approach and go about getting a reading. it’s not your fault, no one told you but that is why I am making this thread. so let me take you through the general process of getting a reading.
1. reading is fundamental. this is why it was one of the first things we learned in school. check their bio check their pinned tweet. 9/10 if they are offering services they have an explanation on what it is they offer, prices, how long it’ll take for them to get back to you, etc.
it will save a lot of the questions you would have asked and your readers time and energy :) this way the reading can start off on a more productive foot.
2. waiting for a response. some people will be booked for up to two or three months in readings. sometimes their readings are closed. sometimes they don’t use that account anymore either way wait for their confirmation that they will do a reading for you before you send money.
3. respect their rules. but also understand you don’t have to book with them! instead of arguing prices, trying to get them to rush your reading you should simply find another. a lot of readers will happily recommend some of their favorite mutual.
4. patience. if you want an instant answer you can go on YouTube and watch a Pick a Card reading, comment on some of the free card pulls we see on here or pull tarot for yourself. it takes time and energy for an accurate and descriptive reading. readers have families, jobs, other
clients and other responsibilities so realistically you can’t expect them to always deliver it right away and sometimes even when they say. Tarot cards isn’t a service like getting your nails done which can be done in any mood or condition. sometimes we’ll be pulling cards for
someone else and our own drama/situations come up. our energy directly affects our readings and if our energy isn’t right than the reading likely won’t resonate or be it’s best! delays happen and it’s imperative to not rush your reader. now that doesn’t mean you can’t ask for an
update or check in especially if it’s after whenever they said they’d deliver it to you but remember to be kind and understanding.
5. respect. it took time to memorize the definitions of 78 cards (then the reversal meanings). it took time and experience to be able to apply and intuitively channel and deliver messages not defined on the cards. it takes skill and practice. yes it comes easier for others & yes
everyone reads differently but nonetheless it’s lot of effort put into this craft. You don’t have to “believe” in it, you don’t even have to respect it but if YOU are going to reach out to a reader no matter your belief or reason remember to respect them and their belief.
I’ve had people DM me saying stupid things like “wassup with this stuff?” “is this shit real?” It’s fucking rude. You lot are about to start getting blocked. Why are you approaching me...? a tarot reader? ... and asking me??? if I think it’s real???? I don’t care that TV has
messed up with your view on divination making you think every spiritualist is a loony, out-of-touch-with-reality, nutcase who howls at the moon or a lying scammer but if at your big age don’t know that you aren’t supposed to take everything from the media at face value I don’t
even want to read for you because you’re likely too stupid to comprehend whatever guidance tarot would have offered you anyways. I understand and respect skeptics. truly, I do, but the ignorant aren’t welcome on my page. You’ll get blocked. Also understand we offer tarot readings
so no I can’t even answer that question for you. readers aren’t here to make you believe or convince you of anything. if your struggling to form an opinion on it you should either do your own research (like we did) or purchase a reading and see for yourself.
6. again. don’t argue prices. if you don’t have the money app they use download it or get lost. if you don’t think it’s worth the amount then get lost. there’s like a million readers on here. you can find someone who will fit the criteria your looking for but stop the arguing.
