why i stan peep & why you should too, a thread:

1. he was a good person who was generous. he supported his friends by giving them clothes & money & helped paid for a friends tattoo machine when he was mad broke because he thought he deserved it. he hated saying no to people.

2. his work ethic was crazy. in like 2.5 years he managed to release 12 eps, 5 mixtapes & 1 album (2 other posthumous) he was dedicated to blowing up & he worked hard for every accomplishment.

3. just look at how adorable he is

4. his style was unique & like no other. he’d often mix designer shoes & belts with cheap gas station tees & some skinny jeans which is what made his style unique. he wore whatever he wanted to & made it look good he went from sleeping on floors to the front row at fashion shows.

5. gus’ lyrics talked about mental struggles & heartbreak etc which is relatable to most of his fanbase which is mainly the younger generation. his emotional vulnerability drew tens of thousands of people into his music.

6. his influence. he was the face a whole new wave of emo rap. a big list of rappers wouldn’t be nearly as popular as they are now without peep, some of these artists include tracy, everyone in gbc, brennan savage (he’s so good btw), yunggoth, gab3, bexey, killstation etc.

7. he was open about wanting equality for everybody, against toxic masculinity & was bisexual

8. he dropped crybaby & hellboy. that’s it that’s number 8.

9. his childhood friends said he never switched up after he started blowing up, he was the same gus they knew until the end.

10. peep’s music was very versatile. from songs like move on be strong to teen romance to witchblades to u said to live forever it goes to show how many sounds this man could pull off.

honestly u don’t gotta like his music as long as you respect him as a person & what he did you’re good :)
