I was born in the 1970s, so to mark my birthday, my family brought me to Captain America’s and got me a Black Forest Gateaux and I am delighted with both.

My daughter just ran through an entire relationship arc with glacé cherries, from discovering their existence, to finding them the greatest thing ever, to ostentatiously eating one as a major treat to spitting it out in horror.

They are directly opposite the Disney store. I imagine Disney merch head office honchos standing, mouths agape, as they look out the windows on visits
The 1971 menu featured a Captain America comic strip where he beats up an unnamed interlocutor, who protests at the unprovoked violence (“Why the rough stuff, Cap?”) only for the Cap to tell him he was just working up an appetite for a trip to his eponymous Cookhouse.
