I honestly find Elijah's life fascinating. He single-handedly dealt with 900 prophets of Baal, restored the name of the Lord, and brought back rain, all confidently. But, the threat of Jezebel made him flee for his life. He ran. Surprised?
He was just being human, meh was weak, but in his weakness he found his way to God. David made mistakes too but he always found his way to God too. Where do you go in your weakness?
My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.
1John 2;1.
Some of us avoid God when we make mistakes out of sin consciousness, but it's a only a way to keep sinking
lower. Not to encourage you to keep falling, but when you slip, don't let Him go. He sees you as you are and still wants you!
