star wars twitter has turned into a pretty toxic place, so I felt that I should remind people some rules of basic human decency: rt to share please, this is needed.
1. don& #39;t attack someone for liking a movie or not liking a movie. if they enjoy it, they enjoy it. who cares.
2. don& #39;t attack someone for not shipping something/shipping something (unless it& #39;s inc*st or ped*philia.) again, who cares.
3. don& #39;t shit on people& #39;s comfort characters/movies/episodes. you have no idea what reason they have for liking that something and you have no right to tell them that they shouldn& #39;t like it.
4. just don& #39;t be a shitty, toxic person overall. if someone is posting something disgusting/completely out of line involving anything weird, I understand. but don& #39;t attack someone just for liking a movie, character, episode, etc
5. on the other hand, it is okay to tell people who ship an*soka, ob*kin, qu*obi, and other incestuous/pedophilic ships that they& #39;re in the wrong and shouldn& #39;t be shipping those things. if you argue with them I don& #39;t really see a problem.
6. if someone makes some small mistake, as in forgetting to tw something or misunderstanding a situation, don& #39;t fucking cancel them. in fact, don& #39;t cancel anybody unless they& #39;re being blatantly racist, homophobic, transphobic and you know it isn& #39;t a misunderstanding.
7. give people a second chance. if they& #39;re racist, homophobic, used a slur, etc probably don& #39;t give them a second chance. but if they had attacked people previously on their likes and dislikes, give them a chance to change and educate themselves.
yes, I myself used to be a different person. I used to attack people who differed in opinions, in ships, in taste of movies. but I& #39;ve changed, and I learned that needlessly arguing does nothing but hurt people. I hope you can learn something from this thread.
