Normalize having fraudulent claimers of deceased estates arrested even if they are family members.
Dealing with the loss of a loved one is already a traumatic experience on its own.

In addition, there are so many administrative things involved in attending to the funeral and administering the winding up of the estate.
Add greedy family members and fraud to this and it’s enough to drive anyone crazy.

Relatives making ‘entitled’ moves on a deceased estate contrary to a will or the law are committing fraud and should be arrested. If there is no will in place, the law relating to interstate succession is clear.

We should really stop treating this as a civil matter in our community.
