Crazy how they invented neoliberalism and then all human progress immediately stopped. Tech, science, art, philosophy - has literally anything happened since the 70s?

The technological progress we have just serves to create increasingly degenerate and debilitating escapes from reality, social media and gaming... Nothing to actually improve or augment life like the flying cars and robot maids of the Jetsons

Remember in 2015 or so they said self driving cars would be ready in 2 years? Then it got revised to “more like 20” which means “who knows, maybe never”. And now they’re saying AGI is maybe like 5 years away bc of GPT3. LOL
