Let me clear some delusions: this thread is about K-pop positions/titles explained in a sociological context (sorry for details but the people this thread is for er...need it)

Most Asian & Oriental cultures are typically collectivist societies, where hierarchy and seniority are valued above actual merit (mostly, not always). People often have a mistaken belief that someone who holds a title automatically is worthy of it. But we know that's not true. ++
++ Your boss may be less intelligent than you but may have contacts to get where he's gotten, your aunt maybe older than you but immature af. Neither designation nor age automatically beget respect. & while there are benefits to a collectivist culture too, this is one BIG flaw.++
++ Typically, the west is more individualistic, even their co.s, Google, FB, IG etc. have long migrated to a flat structure, where respect & opportunities given to you depend on your actual talent than titles or positions. Now let's bring this to, lmao, K-pop & BP & compare ++
++ this with how the Western music market functions. In one line, due to what I explained above, in the west no one ... how do I say this nicely? no one gives a flying fajita about positions, if you can bring your talent & PULL to the music track, to the stage, to the screen, ++
++ you're in. So in the US and European markets, apart from K-pop stans themselves, no one could care less about who is Main Rapper or Vocalist or Dancer. They will watch and listen and pick the most talented one, the most charismatic one. ++
++ In the past few years in most Asian countries, younger people have started businesses that are flat in structure, indicating a shift towards talent over titles. K-pop though is still a reflection of the dinosaur mindset of older men running the industry. To sum up, ++
++ merit & performance are the only sustainable things in life in any field, including music, not your designation or title. So if you wish to ask for something for a member, ask for it on the basis of, and actual proof of performance ++
++ Whatever we demand for Lisa is because of her TALENT & CHARISMA & proof of the same. You could have talent & no X factor to draw people in. You could get your positions in part, due to knowing the right people or due to the country you're in, even if someone else deserves ++
++ it more. So, little twerps, don't use the position = talent safety blankie, or imma get you a pacifier. We demand what we demand basis PROOF of Lisa's impact on all platforms, in sales, in her LIVE performances, etc. etc. & not because the world owes it to us. ++
++ Repeat after me, the world owes you or me nothing without proof of performance.
