1. This may seem technical, but it& #39;s incredibly important. States should begin counting mail-in ballots well before Election Day, to avoid a scenario where one candidate has a large lead at the end of Election Day which then vanishes as mail-in ballots are counted, https://twitter.com/amyewalter/status/1299754693737025538">https://twitter.com/amyewalte...
2. Right now, Republican voters overwhelmingly say they will vote in person, while a majority of Dems say they& #39;ll vote by mail. If that plays out in Nov., and counting of mail-in ballots doesn& #39;t start until Election Day, it& #39;s a perfect recipe for a legitimacy crisis.
3. The easy solution is what PA wants to do - start counting mail-in ballots earlier, as they come in. But if you live in any state that is not going to do that, you should vote in person, unless it& #39;s impossible or too dangerous for you to do so.
4. I know we are still in the middle of a pandemic. Nonetheless, it& #39;s irresponsible at this point for the Democratic Party to encourage mail-in voting, unless states are going to be able to have most mail-in ballots counted by the end of Election Day.
