Hi! I’m a Black woman who warned about this for years . Here’s why the fucks wrong with me First :

The country where my family is doesn’t have consistent internet but Facebook works. ( as does What’s App ans Insta)

2) Members of my community don’t have consistent open resources based on location and community advert boards are gone . Facebook might be the only way to know my neighbors

3) because media is racist and depending on adoption rates and times Reddit is hell..... affinity organizing and awareness is only available on platforms as getting that base independently requires resources WHITE SUPREMACY DOESNT GIVE US

4) #NetNeutrality got chest stabbed so Facebook may be the thing that works so many people are trying to use it as a work around for low and sometimes non existent web access

5) because the sheer onboarding and public awareness needed to switch platforms this hard midstream requires extensive community management that .... no one is paying for but feel great yelling at people for

6 ) IT IS A FUCKING PANDEMIC AND ASKING PEOPLE TO ISOLATE MID STREAM IS A TERRIBLE IDEA
