Minimum contents for an IFAK (Individual/Improved First Aid Kit):
Pressure bandage (Israeli or another style)
Chest seals (x2)
Tourniquet
Permanent marker

... I'm not going to tell you where to buy a permanent marker or how to use it... don't over complicate this shit.

In addition to the "basics," I would also highly recommend including the following in your IFAK:
Nitrile gloves (easy to buy at your local drug store)
Athletic tape at least 2 in. wide (also easily available)
Gauze
