"I have a confession. I genuinely enjoy $10/hour work"

An email exchange with a RadReader who is stuck in the wrong quadrant.

(Early 30s, Investor Relations + Marketing)
It's both OK and REQUIRED to do $10/hour work. Why?

- Your boss tells you to
- It's execution (keeps "trains running")
- Clients need to be serviced
- It releases dopamine and builds momentum

BUT, be careful of that dopamine hit.

$10,000/hr work is the opposite. ZERO dopamine
Now she's talking.

At this point in her career she still needs to EXECUTE, but can start developing:

- Story telling
- Design principles
- Benefit-based marketing
- Persuasion
- Pricing
- Psychology of decision making

Imagine spending 10 mins/day on these topics - for 10 Years
BOOM!

This is the long game, the land of the Fast Tortoise. She could:

- Make MBIs
- Cultivate relationships with the junior decision makers
- Find a very narrow vertical for thought leadership (under her firm's name)
- Find creative ways to serve existing clients
