Gun Violence from the Left is a big problem that's going to get worse.
2A Advocates need to get ahead of this.
The Left sees guns as "magic wands". They were raised to think guns are evil. They *fear* the gun itself. Taboo. Forbidden. Evil.
So when they want to rebel, some do with guns.
Guns give you the power of life and death over people.
One result of this is numerous examples of:
"If you are depressed and feeling worthless, unseen, or insignificant, if you want to kill yourself, then get a gun and kill people."
Columbine. Aurora. Sandy Hook?
I don't want to take the time to research, but I think you intuitively know what I mean.
That was on top of inner city youth gang violence, where guns and killing is part of the culture of street survival.
But now we have a new development:

The Left has decided to "show" us what 2A exercise is like when done by the Left.
I think it started when all the guys showed up in Virginia and Michigan with guns, to protest at state capitals.

Leftists were HORRIFIED, but the GOP and 2A advocates defended it, saying: it was peaceful, no one was hurt, etc.
and then the GOP and 2A advocates were horrified when protests became violent and turned into arson and looting.

The Left thought we were being hypocritical. They consider guns inherently evil and violent, remember?
Holding a gun in their presence is taken as a threat.
The second step was when everyone freaked out about the Wuhan Virus and started buying guns, including Leftists, and including normies and conservatives in blue areas.

The Left found out that it wasn't so easy to get a gun...but they also found out it was possible.
But maybe we should have spoke out about the danger of bring guns when you *plan* to start a confrontation.

Because NFAC *was* trying to start something. They were trying to provoke a response.

And doing that while armed is not wise.
Since that didn't work, the next step was Leftists demanding that gunowners come defend them in their fights against the US Govt in Portland.

We laughed and said "Fek no", because a govt shutting down violent protests isn't tyranny to anyone but an immature violent rioter.
So then it went to the next step.

Cars weren't stopping for protesters and rioters trying to block streets.
They started bringing guns to their roadblocks and other protests-that-inevitably-become-riots
And here's the problem.

The Leftists armed, as is their right.
They are exercising 2A rights to use those arms to defend themselves, as is their right.
But they don't have the respect for the danger of guns that 2A advocates have.
They don't have the respect for life that conservatives have.

They are angry enough to be at riots, uncaring enough to burn down businesses that are people's only source of sustenance.
To them, guns are a totem. A magic wand. A source of power. They are the heroes in their story.

They think they point a gun, and the person they point the gun at does what they want.
They started shooting at cars that wouldn't stop.
That reveals ignorance of one of the first laws of gun ownership and use: know what's behind what you're shooting at.
They don't, and so when the shots miss, they often hit their own.
This all contributed to the shooting in Kenosha.

The rioters had guns. The defenders had guns.
One got separated out.
The Left, heroes in their own story, didn't think they could hurt.
They confronted him, got belligerent. Dared him to shoot.
Chased him.

One (or more) fired shots in the air. Because that's what you do in the movies, I guess?

It was a threat. It was a threat they would try to shoot Kyle next.
They continued chasing him, and tried to take away his gun.

Because guns are a symbol of power?

Kyle was running. They couldn't just let him go. He had a symbol of power.
They were heroes in their own story. They would just take it away from him.
And so they got shot, and 2 were killed.

They caused this, with their ignorance and immature use of firearms.

And it's going to get worse.
This didn't happen 30, 40, 50 years ago.

The Kent State Massacre was 4 people. The St Valentine's Day Massacre was 7 people.

That happens multiple times a year in Chicago now, and never gets noted, much less a name and wiki page.
Here's what I recommend:
1) any time guns are mentioned, any time 2A rights come up, any time Leftists want to ban AR-15s, any time you criticize Leftist mis-use of guns, see if you can work in the Laws of gun use.
-Every gun is loaded
-finger off the trigger until you are ready to fire
-Never point it at anything you don't intend to kill or destroy
-know what's behind what you are shooting at, don't shoot if it is vulnerable or innocent
-don't brandish to intimidate
-don't shoot to wound
Push for *responsible* gun use. For *defensive* gun use only.
and it is time to get marskmanship classes back in school.
It is long past time to get children comfortable with guns, and trained at a very early age to respect them.
To not mystify guns and make them totems of power, but make everyone clear they are dangerous but useful tools.
