What interest me is how Ontario’s return to school plan is very similar to the other provinces. They are all relatively uninspired. The Ford government can be found guilty here of being just as underwhelming as many of his counterparts.

The Ford govt did two things differently:
First. They don’t sell hope. They have no soothing words for staff or parents. They publicly attack that very staff and further undermine the working relationship to the point it is nonexistent. So Ford defends his plan in a combative manner that you don’t see in most provinces.
Second: Ontario has dense populations. Our demographic profile sets us apart from most provinces in terms of complexity. Only a couple provinces *badly* need smaller classes. We are one of them. By setting his sights on the minimum provincial response, Ford ignores our reality.
Incompetent and uninspired, the Ford government has played it safe and moved in lockstep with the other provinces. The problem is that his plan is deficient because of population density, and it is made worse still by the partisan rhetoric that he loudly shouts to distract us.
