I really don't understand why NPR made this decision. Reading this is painful. It's like watching a friend flail at an open mic.

I am sure a bunch of Twitter yahoos are gonna be like INVESTIGATE NPR or PUNISH THOSE RESPONSIBLE. Fuck that noise. I just want these outlets to do better and to stop producing media solely for the 10% of the dumbest, most radical people on Twitter. It's useless nonsense.

Just a final thing to respond to a couple responses (not gonna spend any more time tweeting about this). It's okay to platform radical ideas as long as you do so in a careful, critical way, where there's pushback and followup questions. There's almost none of that here.
