After observing a few cases in recent days like SSR & the illegal police chief appointment which went against the SC directives in line with Prakash Singh Vs Union of India 2006. Police reforms are impossible till the time political brass stops interfering in internal matters.

Maximum police top brass can do is buy new weapons, implement directives from MHA & not join hands with the local criminals apart from this major restructuring cant be done by the Police HQ. Change has to be initiated from the top (here, political brass)

Till the time political will is not there, nothing can be achieved. Ill cite 2 eg., Chhattisgarh police is performing good in their fight against naxals. Reason behind it ? Fomation of STF & DRG & their training at CTJWS Kanker. These were implemented by IPS on formation level

But everything was planned and coordinated by then CM Raman Singh Ji, he was the one who personally took interested in the establishment of STF, DRG. He ordered the estb of CTJWS by requesting Brig. Ponwar to come to CG and head the Training establishment.

IF THE POLITICAL BRASS IS INTERESTED IN SOLVING A PROBLEM, NO ONE CAN STOP THEM FROM SOLVING IT.
