So I showed my therapist some of the toxicity that gets sent to myself and other members of the team. I& #39;m super used to it at this point, I& #39;ve seen the worst since Bayo on PS3 and GamerGate.... But she has absolutely aghast.
She was curious, "Well, can& #39;t you do anything?" "Nope. Just gotta deal with it. Apparently, this is what I signed up for by having a twitter account and working on a video game."

And it& #39;s true. What am I gonna do, argue with random, toxic people on the internet?
So this is why my block/mute list is so long. The first shot of toxicity is free. I gotta read it. It sucks. But I take one good look at that person& #39;s tweets and they are quickly banished. My mental health and my career are more important than engaging in twitter spats.
The interesting thing is to those being toxic, it is a single tweet without consequence. Just expressing themselves.

But being on the receiving end... Here& #39;s something to try. Set up a tweet deck filter for someone "known" and see what gets tweeted at them. It& #39;s shocking.
We all know Twitter isn& #39;t going to do a damn thing about toxicity.

Then you& #39;ve got "influencers" who are weaponizing toxicity so they can make money. What am I gonna do, send YouTube my therapy bill?
