The live music industry in Ireland is mandated closed. It’s the only industry currently *mandated* shut by the government, with zero supports in place. This isn’t a cry about bringing our shows and gigs back, it’s a shout for support for the thousands highly skilled
and qualified crew members, technicians, planners, engineers and support staff who now cannot work under current regulations. Other arts industries have been granted varying supports and fundings, but the event industry has been #lockedout - if governement are mandating that a
sector closes, then they must offer support by means of funding and strategy. The events industry was the first one closed, will be the last one back, and will be the first one we will all enjoy the fruits of once (and if) this mess passes. Amplify the voices of those calling for
the establishment of an events industry taskforce, funding and help and talk to your TDs. You’ll begin to hear a lot of voices on this matter over the coming weeks. #LiveAid #FrontRowWorkers #LockedDownLockedOut
