Dear fresh grads,

Please make sure you have prepared all these before looking for a job:

1. Resume with solid content
2. Cover letter template
3. FAQ during interview
4. LinkedIn profile
5. Proper email address

These should be the basic.
I wish you all the best!
And, it's very irritating to get a job applicant who sends email like this:

1. Email subject is not clear
2. No cover letter in the email
3. Attachment only

No matter how good your resume is, I might just ignore this email. Email etiquette is very important when you're working.
I do get a lot of interesting resumes.

Some focus too much on design.
Good effort in hiring a designer.
Maybe you should hire a content maker too.
Coz your resume is not informative enough.

Resume is like a personal brochure.
You're selling yourself to employers!
About the cover letter.

You can either attach a PDF.
You can also type in the email.
Or you can just do both.

Have some background story about yourself. Some info that might not be covered in your resume. Do some research on this.
FAQ during interview.

Don't be surprised.
We ask questions based on template.
Practice answering these questions.
Do it with friends or family members.

Don't memorize the lines.
Just memorize the points.
Be authentic about it.
Don't fake stuff.
LinkedIn Profile.

Upload a professional photo.
Don't use passport photo pls?
Passport photo always look scary.

Standardize the content on LinkedIn with your resume. Heck, you can even download your resume from LinkedIn.

Fill up all the necessary details.
Email address.

Guys, I used to have crazy emails when I was younger. I understand your creativity with emails too.

Create a new email that sounds more professional. You don't wanna be applying for jobs using emails such as:

[email protected]
[email protected]
Lastly, if you have been rejected after a job interview, don't just ghost the company. Send a thank you email to them.

You'll never know if they might change their mind and get back to you. Being the 2nd choice is still better than not chosen at all.
Just sharing based on my experience.
Until today, I'm still getting a lot of job offers.

Most of them come from:
LinkedIn
Glassdoor
Monster

I guess, a lot of companies are going through digital transformation due to MCO. So, they're looking for Product Managers.
