dear casedemic doomers:

when even the NYT is now saying that cases are a terrible metric and that most found by the overly sensitive PCR tests are not signs of active infection or contagiousness, it's time to pack up your tents and go home. https://twitter.com/apoorva_nyc/status/1299705092178956288
we're using tests that are WAY too sensitive to measure actual disease risk and can find viral fragments from 12 week old covid that has been long dead.

to use that to decide if it's safe to go to school or work is madness.

it's not a real metric.

it never was.
at 40+ cycles, you could probably find 100's of viruses you had no idea you had and have no chance of passing on.

that's a crazy level of amplification to use to assess contagiousness or sickness.

think back to march.

this was all supposed to be about sparing hospitals. it turned out they didn't need it. at all. we nearly BK'd half of them trying to "save" them.

now we want no cases as defined by an absurdly over-sensitive measure with high false positives?
it's reckless, stupid, and unscientific to do this.

anyone pushing "cases" as a metric to open is either medically illiterate or seeking to lie to you in furtherance of some other agenda.

which makes you want to let them lead you?
