Here are 5 ways sports organizations can support local black owned businesses in their area using @Instagram right now 👇.
1. Leverage our Fundraisers tool. Partner with black owned businesses that cater to your stadium traffic and help lift them up in times without fans. Create content reminding fans of how impactful theyve been to local fandom and drive them to raise $$ to support from your account
2. Get them up and running on Gift Cards. One day a week devote several slides in your story to an individual black owned business in your community, and insert their Gift Card Sticker in that story to help float them until things return to normal.
3. Get them up and running on Food Delivery. Each week you can partner with a black owned take out/delivery restaurant and make them the “Tailgate Partner of the Week”. Share their delivery sticker in their story pre-game with some great shots of what they have on the menu.
4. Support local 501c3's with Live Donate. Pick a non-profit organization helping support the local community and add it to any live from your IG. Even if it's just a Live during batting practice or pre-game warm ups...adding the tag each time you go live will make a difference.
5. Tag them with the Support Small Business sticker. One day each week devote your story to tagging a small black owned business in your community. Work with your fans and your athletes to nominate businesses using the Q+A sticker.
