Simulated value is what occurs when you do not stick your neck on the line and say & #39;this is me& #39;, espousing only the popular parts of you instead of the unglamourous, human aspects people will unfollow you for.
You might think this is a good strategy because of the optics, but in reality it precludes the possibility of die-hard relationships. You also attract sycophants and transient fans that use you for their own complexes, mistaking that for approval of your actions.
People need to have a reason to believe in you that penetrates the superficiality.
