im not too educated on this but i saw people claiming she was appropriating black culture w these hairstyles and im not sure what to think about that bc a lot of people dont know that dreads are a very big part of indian culture. but they're a part of indian culture in a+

way as far as i know (this is just from what my mums told me ) but people in india who wear dreads don't do it for a personal / styling manner. people who wear dreads in india devote their lives to being a strict hindus. they may worship the god shiva who also wore dreads.+

anyways back to her i think either way shes doing smth wrong. whether she's appropriating off of black culture or whether shes appropriating off of certain religious hindu culture. yes maybe shes a hindu religious woman but those dreads have spiritual meaning and shes not+
