***TOTALLY SHAMELESS SELF-PROMOTION/CAR PICS THREAD ALERT***

A project at home means I've found a load of old images of cars from the years I lived in Bristol (2007-2012). So, thought I'd share them: first up is my E64 645Ci - there'll be a lot of BMWs in this thread. Sorry.

1/
Here's the S2000, the one still on our driveway to this day, sharing screen time with other S2000s, and also my Mondeo ST220 Estate. Which I should *never* have sold.

2/
Sarah's E46 M3 here. OK, it had 19s and SMGII, which are both no-nos in E46 M3 world, but Steel Grey, Imola Red cabin and a facelift model with the LED rears.

It shared the driveway with a lot of BMWs, mostly glamorous. Not this grotty E36 328i T, though - a mag project car.

Driving the E93 BMW 335i back from Spain to the UK, via the Pyrenees and Mont-St-Michel. Looking good on the drive between the E46 M3 and the S2000. The spec sheet from the time suggests it was around £38,000 with options and the autobox was a £1,490 extra!

4/
The launch of the E92 BMW M3, at Pau Arnos (I think). I'm not 100 per cent sure, but I think in the background of the first shot you can see @ivanaistrop loading up a red example of the V8 M3.

We did an 'old v new' shoot in Performance Tuner with Sarah's E46 and the E92.

5/
Both MIB 627 and 161 BMW were in the previous Tweet, as they were available to drive on the E92 M3 launch. Here's the E30 M3 Ravaglia at home (on an overlap with an E93 M3 in the background of one shot). I believe both classic M3s remain on @BMW_UK's Heritage Fleet today...

6/
Here's 161 BMW sitting alongside Sarah's 'standard' Coupe. And, elsewhere, me going Stateside on the launch of the E70 second-gen X5, in South Carolina, here driving a 4.8i.

7/
A BMW multimodel at The Vineyard, Stockcross, back in 2007. That 135i Coupe was a little gem and one of the first BMWs in decades with decent brakes (six-pot front callipers). One shot here shows that, even back then, any driving event near Newbury *had* to take in the B4494.

Ah. Probably where my 'sickness' started. Actually, I'd already driven a black-with-red E61 M5 at another BMW multimodel at Stockcross before, but a week's holiday to Devon with the dogs in this Indianapolis sealed the deal. Sadly.

Hence the blue carbuncle on my drive now.

So, enough of the BMs now. Here are some other lovelies from the 2000s.

Such as a glorious X358 Jaguar XJR, a GR Subaru Impreza STi and a Lotus 2-Eleven. What a car, eh, @SP_Charlesworth?!

10/
@AdamBcars recently had a B7 RS 4 Avant from @AudiUKPress's Heritage Fleet. If you can get a go in it, do, because it's one of the best Audi RS models of all time. Here's one, in matching Daytona Grey, in which I toured Scotland for a week of work/shoots in 2007.

11/
Some more random driveway testers:

- Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X (it was an FQ-360, I think, not the utter mentalist FQ-400)
- Volkswagen Golf GTI Pirelli (Mk5)
- @forduk's stunning Sierra RS Cosworth three-door, another car I think is still on the Heritage Fleet today
- E93 M3

12/
Random launch cars:

- Volkswagen Touareg R50 TDI
- Volkswagen Tiguan Mk1 of some sort (erm... yeah)
- Aston Martin V8 Vantage with aftermarket Eibach in-car adjustable dampers
- Renault Laguna III on Corsica (I think the Aston-esque Coupe model was there, too)

13/
Random launch and driveway cars:

- Volkswagen Passat R36 Estate (this was ace)
- Mazda RX-8 R3, far and away the best factory RX-8 of the lot (paging @SP_Charlesworth again)
- on the launch of the Renaultsport Twingo 133 in Portugal and what a cracking little thing that was

14/
And finally, some mopping up!

- Sarah's NB Mazda MX-5 1.8i Phoenix, which she had when I met her
- with @SP_Charlesworth at SMMT as we drove an R35 GT-R together
- I didn't drive the Murcielago LP670-4 SV; that was @Matt_Joy, the lucky so-and-so!!

Thanks for looking, all!
