I’ve noticed that the teachers on twitter are advocating for a safe workplace environment but still planning on how they are going to make school awesome for kids this year. Parents are angry and frustrated and just want a safe place for the children to learn.
But @fordnation and @Sflecce refuse to acknowledge the parent anger, worry, fear, frustration, anxiety - and instead just blame the unions. Next time there is a press conference, I want a reporter to call them out and ask what those two have to say to worried parents.
Parents whose children are going into classes of 25+, parents who do NOT believe that the school is safe through no one else’s fault but theirs. And I don’t want to hear about HVAC, or nurses or anything else but class sizes.
And if @fordnation starts to bash the union or teachers I want that reporter to interrupt him and say, I was asking about parents. Parents are worried. PARENTS!!! And then ask him when parliament will be returning to in-person. And the answer damn well better be Sept. 8.
