Rama plays it normal showing Bharata the confidence that Rama has accepted him as the King.

He then begins a series of affectionate reminding on Kingly duties and conduct that Bharata must follow.

Rama says 'Hope you'

- Are honoring the learned Suyagna, son of Vashishta
- Are being reminded by a worthy Brahmin of all Oblations
- Are honouring your Archery Teacher Sudhanva
- Have Ministers skilled in interpreting intentions from gestures

- Are Sleeping Well. Wake up at appropriate time
- Reflecting upon your actions in the later half of night
- You are deliberating with right number of people
- Your deliberations are not known to others
- Every action has maximum benefit and minimum cost

- One Wise man is more important than 100 Stupid Men
- Are Assigning right work to the right people
- Your ministers have the courage to tell your excesses
- Your ministers are incorruptible and with integrity
- Sacrificing men do not hold you in contempt

- Are sternly dealing with overstepping doctors, servants, soldiers
- Are appointing a deserving chief of army
- Are taking care of the army in rightful ways/time
- Are ensuring that Kshatriyas of your land are devoted to you
- Have Knowledgeable/Skillful men as ambassadors

- Are informed of your 15 Functions by 3 Spies
- Are informed of 18 Functionaries of your enemies as well
- Hope the three Spies dont know each other
- Are taking your enemies seriously
- Are NOT honoring Materialistic Brahmins
- Are properly looking after Ayodhya (Detailed)

- Cherishing people living by agriculture/cattle rearing
- Taking care of women, keep secrets away from them
- Have the right kind/number of Elephants
- Appearing for people in the wee hours of Morning
- Servants are not disrespecting you; Not shy away from meeting you

- Have enough money, grain, water, Yantra, Weapons
- Have enough archers, artisans
- Have high income, low expense
- Treasure does not benefit undeserving
- Your expenditure is towards rightful causes (list)
- Are not punishing offense without sufficient enquiry

9/n

- In disputes between the rich and poor, ministers are being dispassionate
- Tears of victims of false accusation can destroy your lineage
- You know how to conciliate the children, aged and the doctors
- Are pursuing Dharma, Artha, Kama in right measure without excess

- Hope the Brahmins and others are praying for you
- Are abstaining from the 14 dangers (Interesting List - Shloka 65, 66, 67)
- Are dealing with 10 Evils sternly (Sholka 68, 69, 70)
- Are consulting with 3-4 ministers in group and separate

- Do you find any advantages of studying Vedas
- Have your actions resulted in right results
- Do you benefit from the company of your consorts
- Have you benefited from your learning

- Are sharing good food with friends
- Are having the same conviction as me in what I have shared with you
