I keep seeing ppl say “black men go to the doctor” but you know what’s fucked up? Despite colon cancer being the one of the top terminal cancer for black men, they don’t screen until age 50. Most black men who die from it are 30s-40s.

And b/c black men aren’t screened for it sooner, they die at a 3 times higher rate and at a younger age than any other group.
Because by the time they see signs something is truly wrong- it’s stage 2 or 3.

Obviously guidelines need to change. I have been donating to colon cancer research and causes for 15 years or so.
My uncle died at age 40 from colon cancer, I never got over it. He was fine, just some pain here and there. 6’0, 300lbs when he was diagnosed with stage 4.

The shit is wild b/c what are we supposed to do when the medical industry continues to be racist despite knowing black men are at greater risk?
It sucks.
