This is shameful and it needs to be recognized as such.
Elitism. White. In the arts. The pigeonholing and patronizing of Black stories as separate. The art's equivalent of 'where do you really come from'. And now let's call everyone BAME and applaud ourselves.

Recognition that you've undervalued people because of the colour of their skin and the colour of your own is painful and shameful. That they've been put down in a system of oppression that has worked out great for me. That's a hard truth. And one peeps like me want to suppress.
Yes. Me.
We want to move on before we've done any real listening. Before any real shifting of power. We'll keep a kinder face whilst the roots remain the same.
