i think a lot of ppl who are seen as trans women are actually non-binary but feel the need to present 100% as trans women bc that's the only way we'll be accepted (kinda) as non-men
saying this cuss I feel this a lot myself
saw a survey of non-binary ppl and like 70% were afab and the rest amab and I think those numbers are heavily influenced by the fact that us dirty amabs generally do not feel welcome and we end up preemptively excluding ourselves
and as someone who was in a 'woman and non-binary' group for about 8 months, they are *absolutely* not doing the work they need to do to make those spaces welcoming to all non-binary ppl (or even trans women!)
those communities, online or offline, are almost invariably run by the same kinds of people. generally middle-class millennials, usually white women, and usually people who don't have much of a connection to the rest of the LGBT community
a common refrain i'd hear from them is 'i'm trying to educate myself about lgbt issues'.

and it really highlights the fact that there is a severe gap in experiences . like why are these ostensibly lgbt groups being run by people who 'need education'
anyway im rambling now but these groups often just operate as clubs for people born a certain way and of a certain class
