I remember when my Dad was sick (he didn’t even know he had terminal cancer yet) and people would always congratulate him on his weight loss. Granted he *was* actively trying to lose weight at this time, he noticed that he was losing lbs rather quickly. And with the weight loss his diabetes was still difficult to manage. Lo and behold...stage IV pancreatic cancer.
Even in this though, people were entirely too ready and quick to tell my Dad how ‘good’ he looked going from 300+ lbs to under 200 in a short matter of time.
Honestly, I can’t even finish this thread. I’m triggered.

Bottom line, don’t comment on people’s appearances unless they INVITE you to.
