liberal feminism impedes our collective efforts towards dismantling an ipbk society as it perpetuates individualistic view of gender equality when in reality, emancipation of women is and will always be tied to class liberation. https://twitter.com/chinnaysabelle/status/1299340695639998464
we cannot fully free ourselves—as women—for as long as we’re under the same patriarchal, imperial, feudal, and bureaucratic-capitalist society.

so let’s extend the realm of our feminism from our bodies to our institutions and the various sectors of our society.
gender struggle is real. but apart from being a woman, being in the periphery accounts for the day-to-day inequalities and injustices faced by many women.
this isn’t only about bodily autonomy. this is bigger than ourselves. this is about the proletarian women, exploited & abused, under a system that harms us all. we are not free while any woman is unfree.
buttt this is also a reminder that we shouldn’t antagonize liberal feminists. they can still be an ally. i mean, we all start somewhere. even my feminism emerged from a liberal-ish perspective. still, it all boils down to bakahin ang liberalismo & maging mapanghamig.
