Supporting Celtic isn’t a pissing contest. I’ve supported Celtic all my life. If my life has gone on 5, 10 or 15 years longer than yours, it does not mean I am more of a supporter than you or my views are important than yours. We, as a support, should always define the club.
Right now, and pretty much since the pandemic began, the club had got a lot a wrong IMO. People who espouse this view aren’t any less supporters than those who refuse to criticise the club about anything. Celtic has always had a self analyisng suooort and, since 1993/94,
a support who keeps a close eye on those who run the club. That’s not being negative or moany, it’s called caring. Similarly, not criticising is not “happy clapping” it’s simply caring that much that you can never do it. There’s plenty along both out there but there’s also a
common denominator there. A love of Celtic. I think it’s time we all remembered that because we are fracturing everywhere right now. The club absolutely needs to show leadership, and it absolutely hasn’t IMO, but we also need to remember the big picture.
