i& #39;m MARGINALLY sure alistair has described sensing the taint as a "feeling", but i go HARD for the headcanon that the taint, like the calling, is an audible phenomena. i love the idea that the grey wardens sense the corruption the same way they hear the calling: like a song
i don& #39;t 100% remember how it& #39;s described in game though, but iirc, alistair describes the sensing of the taint as a more physical compulsion BUT. maybe i& #39;m way off. more reason to replay origins

also just the idea that the Blight sounds like garbled nonsense, but as the wardens start becoming ill/head towards their calling, they suddenly begin to understand the language.... kinda badass tbh
i& #39;ve VERY LIGHTLY touched on it in fics before but just the idea that wardens have to contend with the blight song during battle shakes me to my CORE tbh... as if combat wasn& #39;t difficult enough, you hear the discordant music
