The more I look, the more I become convinced there is no "thawra" in Lebanon, and there never was.

The mafia raping the State smuggled thousands of tons of explosives, stashed them in a civilian port and sold them over years for profit... (1)
When they were found out, the stash was either set on fire to get rid of the evidence or dealt with negligently and fatally to shut up calls for its removal. Hundreds killed, thousands maimed, tens of thousands displaced...

Those guilty are now heading the investigation. (2)
Brave lawyers and activists defied threats from the mafia and blew the whistle on whatever evidence they could find.

They are now being investigated by a corrupt and worthless judiciary, while paid media mouthpieces tarnish their work and distract from their plight. (3)
When evidence is presented, lies and false accusations are thrown. When demands for justice are raised, they are drowned out by the sound of bullets, sectarian discourse and a payrolled media. When calls to take to the streets are made, they are met with ridicule and threats. (4)
All this while, what is the stance of "the people"? Where is the "glorious revolution"? Where are the "millions" who descended upon the streets demanding "change"?

Either silent or worse - propagating (knowingly or unknowingly) mafia state propaganda and misinformation. (5)
There are honest people who call themselves "thawra". They are family/friends. I've sat and talked and dreamed with them countless times.

Until things change, they are a manipulated and oblivious minority. Blind and weak. No different from the rest of our people.

Meh. (6)
