"I have oily skin, I don't think Lumi Face Oil for me. Won't it make my skin even more oily?😭"

Many of you oily skin type babes maybe think that you should skip having Lumi Face Oil in your skincare routine. But my oh my, you might need it more than you know!đŸ€”

A thread.
If you have oily skin, you might be having a case of FOMO because everyone else is out having fun with this new beauty item. You might think:

- An oil treatment will worsen your oiliness
- Your skin makes enough natural oils to keep it healthy
- Oil-free skincare is our GO-TO
If you have oily or combination skin, several perfectly suited facial oils can work wonders to nourish & balance your skin. Every oil has a different blend of ingredients & may include:

- Fatty Acids
- Antioxidants
- Vitamins
- Essential Fatty Acids

& many more!
Many studies have found that oily skin tends to be rich in fatty acids, such as oleic acid, and deficient in EFAs, such as linoleic acid.

Facial oils that work for oily or combination skin are rich in EFAs such as:

- Linoleic acid
- Linolenic acid
- Gamma-linolenic acid
So are the ingredients in Lumi Face Oil suitable for oily & combination skin type? Let's breakdown each ingredient for you!
Jojoba Oil

Our skin has 2 types of naturally-occurring oils. 1 is sebum & another is lipid. Jojoba oil is really similar to sebum so it gets absorbed well into the skin. Any skincare ingredients mixed into this oil become more effective because it penetrates into the skin well.
Jojoba Oil has the similarity of the sebum that the skin generates (oily skin produces more of this sebum). Jojoba Oil tricks the skin into thinking it has enough sebum and so does NOT produce more. As a result, Jojoba oil positively controls and re-balances the oil production.
Rosehip Oil

Rosehip Oil is a lightweight facial oil that is absorbed quickly by the skin & is a blend of soothing and healing ingredients with the ability to calm inflammation that can accompany acne, leaving you with softer, moisturised skin and more even skin tone.
It aids in skin cell renewal, improves skin tone, reduces the appearance of scarring and pigmentation and protects from free radical damage. Rosehip Oil has been proven to improve skin tone & reduce scars caused by acne, facial blemishes or wounds.
Rosehip Oil is often referred to as a ‘dry’ oil because it is absorbed into the skin quickly. Rosehip Oil contains Omega 3 & 6 essential fatty acids that our body does not produce but is necessary for healthy skin. They fight inflammation and promote healthy skin growth.
