[THREAD] hi everyone, unfortunately there have been gifs/videos going around of jumpscares hidden in breathing exercises and if youve seen/been affected by those i'm so so sorry. here's some alternative exercises in case you dont feel safe with +
videos or gifs right now. i know not all of these will work for everyone, but i'm sharing these methods in hope that at least some of them will work for some people and i hope you'll share them too.
8-4-7 breathing method:
1. (deep) exhale for 8 seconds
2. inhale for 4 seconds
3. hold breath for 7 seconds
4. repeat

four in four out:
-close your eyes
-inhale through your nose
-try to slow your breathing
-breathe from your belly (keep your breathing as smooth and continuous as you can)
-inhale while counting to 4
-pause for a few secs
-exhale while counting to 4
-pause for a few secs
-repeat
4-4-4-4 breathing method:
-inhale for 4 counts
-hold for 4 counts
-exhale for 4 counts
-hold for 4 counts
-repeat twice (or more, as many times as needed)
4-6-4-6 breathing method:
-inhale for 4 counts
-hold for 6 counts
-exhale for 4 counts
-hold for 6 counts
-repeat
7-11 breathing method:
-breathe in for 7 counts
-breathe out for 11 counts
-repeat
alternate nostril breathing method:
