Im not gonna romanticize how Chadwick Boseman worked thru his cancer. Cuz I’ve seen how able bodied people use it for inspiration porn of disabled ppl. I will uplift he did what he loved, I will uplift his wife and family, I will uplift the lives he impacted. May he Rest in Power

The romanticization I’m seeing happening is what kills cancer patients. It’s what sends my community - Black disabled ppl - to an early grave cuz we “should” do more, work harder, & we aren’t taken seriously. We aren’t focusing on his grind, we are goin to focus on his personhood
