Work has been stressing me tf out for the last several months (to the point where I’ve considered quitting more than once) so each day I try to pick out a small win to remember my “why.” Some wins are more profound from others, but they all mean something & new me going.
1. a patient told me that even though they’ve only met me virtually, I’m the best PT they’ve ever had

2. Got a message from an ortho surgeon saying “great job!” on restoring a patient’s elbow ROM because they weren’t expecting the patient to get even close to what they have now
3. My favorite of this week: convinced a patient with chronic low back pain to try PT (they had done it before & hated it). In 2 sessions, this patient is now able to do things they haven’t done in 3-4 years.
4. Have been treating a pt for back pain. Have yet to help their back at all despite my best efforts, but they are noticing less knee pain with the exercises, which allows them to be a better caregiver for their loved one. I was thinking I had failed, but the pt saw it as a win.
Not posting these to toot my own horn, but to find some good in the bad of 2020. Even if it’s just one small thing each day. I encourage everyone to do the same, it’s been tremendously helpful. 🌞
I also messed up the first tweet of this thread and it is supposed to say *keep* me going. But I’m in too deep now to fix it. 🤦🏼‍♀️
