I saw someone who has been a very close friend of my parents yesterday as a patient. She has seen me since I was a teenager!

It always feels surreal to see such people because I know they are looking at me and remembering the kid from school!

She called later that night and
specifically asked for Aai!

Aai told me after the call “Ti tujha khup kautuk karat hoti! Khup chaan tu check your kelas aani samjavlas! Mala mhanali ki Gautam cha khup abhimaan vatla mala!”

(She was praising you a lot! You did a good check up and explained well! She said
I feel very proud about Gautam)

I have not stopped smiling since last night but this thread is not about me!

It’s about how my Aai feels! And Baba!

And it made me realize two things:
1) All of us should be proactive in expressing appreciation for others actions, be it
professional or personal in nature!
2) We should express this to parents of adult children also!

I am a father of two but my parents are also parents of two! They don’t have much happening in their life the way I do! And they rarely get to experience such emotions!

I said
this to Aai and said “Parents of adult children are the most forgotten part of society! This sort of appreciation should happen on a regular basis! We should do what Maushi did too!”

And then I get this from my mama!
To all business owners, managers, C level folks think about making this a regular feature!

You will make those senior parents happy beyond imagination and earn full loyalty and better effort from the employee!
